Mr Yadav has warned of new disruptions to block Parliament unless the government releases the findings of a vast census that collected socio-economic and caste data.
Parliament’s monsoon session ends on Thursday; virtually no business has been addressed because the Congress has delivered daily protests within the House, demanding the removal of Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj for playing a part in the sanctioning of urgent travel papers from the UK for tainted cricket tycoon Lalit Modi ,wanted at home in a bevy of corruption cases.
Mr Yadav’s Samajwadi Party was among a group that supported the Congress after 25 of its members were suspended for five days for unruly behavior. But yesterday, Mr Yadav told the Congress, “Enough is enough”.
His stand won him “the gratitude” of the PM, said union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy. “The Prime Minister said he feels the end of the session shows that there are some people who are using Parliament to stop growth and development,” Mr Rudy said.
